Today I saw them building restaurants at the corpus mall and I thought about how fun it would be to drive a bulldozer through pf changs.

It was awesome.

So the new year went pretty well! Enjoyed my ranch trip - I really do like the country sometimes. Slept next to Sam’s big red dog, who put his head on my pillow and who mark convinced me not to roll off the bed. He eventually became a cinnamon doughnut and kept me warm.

Mark went back to Nashville to celebrate his grandmas eighty ninth birthday.

Not that I’m discouraged. Cheers, loves, and be merry :)

No really, happy new year. In five minutes you’re supposed to change your worldview and turn over a new leaf, forming a new lease on life and other cliches.

In five minutes, I will go back to sleep. Or maybe not. I don’t know. Champagne and extravagance are always painfully out of reach.

Saw some bioluminescent jellyfish at the marina at the t-heads. I had heard of them, and seen them in the aquarium, and had always expected them to come onshore in droves, in great glowing waves. these just drifted idly along, each very much immersed in its own little pulsing world. Small and tender and irregular. I liked this much more than the electrified behemoth that had once been described to me. An untrustworthy source, but then again, I suppose one man’s invasion is another’s lazy floating drifter.
